South Holland District Council are currently preparing to update signage for their fleet of refuse vehicles and sweepers. They would like to involve the community and so are inviting all primary school aged children to design and create some artwork which will be entered into a competition, with the winning artworks being enlarged and displayed to the side panels of some of their vehicles. The theme for artwork should be based on recycling, keeping the district clean and tidy and saving our planet.

Please ensure artwork is produced in landscape using A4 paper and that the child’s name, age and a parent contact phone number be written on a separate piece of paper and included in the envelope. You can post your entry to South Holland District Council, West Marsh Road, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11 2BB with the closing date being 5pm on Monday 19th April 2021.

The waste services team are also wanting some help from local children to give all the fleet vehicles their own identity by naming them. They would love to hear of some original and catchy suggestions. Please email wasteservices@sholland.gov.uk by Monday 19th April with your name suggestions.
