Gosberton House Academy is looking for a new School Governor to join our existing Governing Body.

Why be a Governor ?.. Most Governors are motivated by the satisfaction of knowing they are helping schools to improve the standard of education in their local schools.

What do School Governors do ?..To provide a sense of direction for the work of the school - develop the strategic plan.To support & challenge the work of the school and to hold the school to account for the quality of education it provides and the standards achieved - monitoring & evaluation.

What will being a Governor Involve ?..Attend regular meetings of the governing body,become familiar with general educational issues and developments,the financial management of the school and governor training are just some of the matters you would be involved in. 

You would ideally have skills in either education or commerce,finance or social care.
