Sport Premium

The Department for Education (DfE) wants all children to have equal access to high-quality PE  provision and opportunities to experience and participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities. At GHA, the PE  and Sport Premium funding is used to support children to meet the 20 active minutes per day and achieve the aims described above. At GHA children take part in a very wide range of physical activities including sensory circuits, sensory integration activities throughout the school day. At playtime, physical activity is encouraged through a very wide range of resources and areas designed to meet different needs (climbing frames, sensory spaces, bats and balls, scooters, trim-trail, sensory garden). Children also take part in a range of activities provided on- and off-site by visiting coaches, including table cricket, kin-ball, panathlon, boccia, bowling and cricket.  Children also visit Spalding Swimming Pool and Boston Tennis Club. Some children participate in a lunchtime sports club which is delivered on the playground to encourage everyone to have a go!
